What do Paediatric ENT Surgeons do

What do Paediatric ENT Surgeons do?

A Paediatric ENT Surgeon is a surgeon whose practice is dedicated to the treatment of childhood disorders of the ears, nose, throat, face and neck.

They undertake subspecialist training in addition to their specialty ENT training in order to acquire the particular clinical and surgical skills needed in the management of this special patient group

Because of the complex nature of many of these illnesses, Paediatric ENT surgeons work closely with other paediatric specialities including: allergy, anaesthesia, audiology, paediatric medicine, paediatric surgery, cleft palate and craniofacial surgery, cardiac surgery, intensive care, oncology and speech therapy.

This multidisciplinary team approach provides the ideal and most effective means of delivering the high quality care needed for this special patient population.
