This covers the initial examination and discussion of the diagnosis and recommended treatment. Fees may vary depending on whether the consultation took place in the daytime or evenings or whether it is an emergency.

If you require a summary of the fee schedule, please contact the office.

Diagnostic investigations and procedures including hearing tests, endoscopy, microsuction of the ear and nasal cautery may become necessary during the consultation. The charges for these are in addition to the consultation fee.

If a clinic appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, a cancellation fee may be chargeable.

Whilst most insurance companies will cover the cost of surgeon's fees, some may not do so and occasionally there may be a shortfall which is payable by the patient.

If you are claiming against your health insurance, you will require preauthorisation from your insurance company.

If you are self funding, payment must be received before the date of surgery. If you would like a quotation, please contact the office.
Please note that hopsital, anaesthesia and pathology fees are separate from the surgeon's fee.

An administrative fee is chargeable for repeat and urgent prescriptions.
Please note that repeat prescriptions may only be issued within 3 months of a consultation

If you are covered by health insurance, for your convenience, invoices will be sent to your insurance company unless you would prefer to settle your account personally (you may specify this on the registration form). You will need to provide details of your policy, insurance company and a preauthorisation number.

The practice will be happy to provide assistance in completing claim forms.

Patiens are reminded that payment of consultant fees are the responsibility of the patient and not the insurance company.

Payment is due within 30 days.
For your convenience, the practice offers a telephone credit card payment facility.

If you are experiencing any difficulty in settling payment, please let the practice know.

The practice reserves the right to refer unpaid accounts to a third party debt collector if payments are not made within a reasonable time.
